This Privacy Policy explains how Computer Cats LLC ("Computer Cats," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and protects personal information when you visit computercats.net (the "Site"), use our managed IT, security, telephone/VoIP, and related services (the "Services"), or communicate with us, including by text message. By using the Site or Services, or by opting in to our messaging program, you agree to the practices described here.

Computer Cats is a managed service provider (MSP) offering IT support, cybersecurity, VoIP/telephone, and related technology services to business clients. 2. Scope
This policy applies to personal information we handle as a business (for example, information about our clients, their authorized contacts, prospects, and Site visitors). When we process information solely on behalf of a client under a services agreement, that client is the controller of the information and their own privacy policy governs; we act as a service provider/processor and handle it per our agreement with them.
3. Information We Collect
Information you provide directly
- Contact and account details: name, business name, email address, mailing address, and telephone/mobile number.
- Service and support data: tickets, requests, correspondence, scheduling, and information you share when we deliver Services.
- Billing information: billing contact and payment details (payment card data is handled by our payment processor, not stored by us).
- Communications data: the content of messages you send us and that we send you, including SMS/RCS text conversations, voice calls, and email.
Information collected automatically
- Site/usage data: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, and similar analytics collected via cookies and similar technologies (see Section 11).
- Messaging metadata: for text and voice communications, routing information such as sender and recipient numbers, timestamps, and delivery status, provided through our communications vendors and carriers.
Information from third parties
- Our service providers and vendors (for example, our communications platform and telecommunications carriers) and, where applicable, publicly available or business-directory sources.
4. How We Use Information
We use personal information to: provide, maintain, and improve the Site and Services; respond to requests and provide support; schedule, deliver, and document work; send service, transactional, and account communications (including by text message where you have opted in); manage billing; secure our systems and detect fraud or abuse; comply with legal obligations; and, where permitted, send information about our Services (you can opt out of marketing at any time).
5. SMS / Text Messaging Program (SMS & RCS)
This section describes our text-messaging program, which may be delivered over SMS/MMS and, where available, RCS.
Consent. We send text messages only to individuals who have opted in - for example, by providing a mobile number and agreeing to be contacted by text, or by requesting text communication in the course of receiving Services. Consent to receive text messages is not a condition of purchasing any product or service.
Types of messages. Messages may include appointment and dispatch coordination, service and ticket updates, security or account notifications, and replies to messages you send us.
Message frequency. Message frequency varies based on your interactions with us and the Services you receive.
Message and data rates. Message and data rates may apply, depending on your mobile carrier and plan.
Opt-out. You can opt out of text messages at any time by replying STOP to any message. After you reply STOP, we will send one confirmation message and will not send further texts unless you opt back in. Reply START to opt back in.

Carriers. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
No sharing of mobile opt-in data. All the above categories exclude text messaging originator opt-in data and consent; this information will not be shared with any third parties, excluding aggregators and providers of the Text Message services.
6. How We Disclose Information
We disclose personal information only as described here: to service providers and vendors who perform services on our behalf (such as our communications/messaging platform, telecommunications carriers, hosting, and payment processing), under obligations to protect the information; to comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests, and to protect the rights, safety, and property of Computer Cats, our clients, or others; and in connection with a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, subject to this policy. We do not sell personal information, and - as stated in Section 5 - we never share mobile opt-in or text-messaging consent data with third parties for their own marketing.
7. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as needed to provide the Services, maintain business and communication records, comply with our legal and contractual obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements, after which we delete or de-identify it. Retention periods vary by the type of information and the purpose for which it is held.
8. Data Security
We maintain administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information appropriate to its sensitivity. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to opt out of certain processing. You can opt out of marketing email by using the unsubscribe link, and out of text messages by replying STOP. The Site and Services are intended for businesses and are not directed to children under 13 (or the applicable age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
